this is surveillance footage taken from a mcdonald's in pompano beach, florida. the guy that you see there in the burgundy shirt, he's attempting to steal from a backpack, a man in a hat. the guy trying to steal the backpack was 29-year-old patrick davis. a sheriff's deputy does show up on team. this is deputy kevin meyer. meyer gets him down on the ground. at this moment we think he's about to cuff him and make an arrest but things quickly change. >> wow. >> that guy is half the size of that deputy. >> he just body slammed him. >> he justicked him up with what looked like super human strength, knocked offhe dety's glasar from his cuff and his communication microphone so he couldn't call for help. look what happened. some good samaritans come to the deputy's aid. look at this person pulling davis's leg, getting him under control. another man is laying down on him physically helping the deputy get davis under control. and a third man comes in to help. these three men are being praised by the broward sheriff's office for their actions and these men were actually ho
