we also had along the missouri river the missourian, the winnebago, the omaha, and the ponca. i would venture to guess we had 300,000, 400,000 objects. many of the great plains items were as i mentioned collected after the civil war when euro-americans came out to the great plains. if they were surveying for railroads, if they were establishing missions, even in terms of military, they would collect various items of material culture. we have those in our gallery. as well as about 98% of our collections are housed elsewhere. in a museum, you typically don't see more then 2%-3% of the collections that are on public display. in the planning for the gallery, we work collaboratively with the number of native americans. this is important because historically we see a lot of times museums interpret native american life for the native americans. it is seen from someone else's perspective, perhaps someone not native american. we wanted to work with native people to get a their views and their input as to what they would like to see in the gallery. we wanted to create a number of exhibi

cruz: i remember christmas when the first game we got was ponca. -- pong. my parents gave me that for christmas. then we had nintendo. i played computer games. i collected computer games. now, i mostly play on my iphone. i don't have a consul because ole, because if i did, i would use it. but i play cvandyandy crush plants vs zombies and a "star wars" game i just downloaded. it drives my wife crazy. she cannot stand it, but my girls love it. we play plants versus zombies caroline has it on her ipad. we play together. when we take the girls out one of the favorite things to do -- we go to the aquarium and play carnival games there but we. also take them to chucky cheese i tried to get brownie points with heidi. but she says, you have more fun than they do. i don't get brownie points for it, but i enjoy playing nonetheless. steve: the role in sound of music and you cannot sing. sen. cruz: one of the great banes in my childhood, in high school i was very into acting. in high school i thought i would drop out of school and go to california and become an actor.
