a dog fell into this icy pond in lakewood, colorado, yesterday.t treaded water for 20 minutes before firefighters arrived. one rescuer on the scene fell through the ice but he managed to push the dog out. he held onto the leash and the dog pulled him out. the dog, named max is an 85-pound argentine mastive, a breed that likes to hunt, that's what got him into trouble. his owner says the two were taking a walk when max spotted a coyote running out of a bush. he took off and chased the coyote onto the ice. this morning, max and the rescuers appeared on a denver tv station's morning show. max bit anchor kyle dyer in the face. we are not showing the incident. he is in the hospital in fair condition. the dog's owner will be cited because the dog bit someone and because max was not vaccinated for rabies. >>> in maryland, a pit bulldog is being nursed back to health after it was used as a bait dog to train other animals to five. the dog was rescued from the 600 block of andover road in lynnth couple last week. investigators are trying to figure out how h
