an emotional ceremony in poolesville to honor sarah hour who was killed on her way to a swim practice in a crash. she was only 21. she touched lives and she still does. >> for sarah this pool was a training ground. it was her home away from home, a battleground on these days, a nurturing school for the youngest -- applause. >> reporter: hour was driving to a swim practice when she was killed. >> she died at the scene. so it tore our hearts when that happened. >> reporter: sarah's swim student elizabeth pepper who was 9 that day would go on to win a full swim scholarship through college. >> we were going to practice one day and the whole road was shut down and my mom was like wow, there must have been a really bad accident and then we came home and i remember my mom coming in and she said like do you remember that accident that we passed? and i remember in my head i was thinking oh, my god, like i hope it's not sarah. like obviously it's still really hard, but like i was so devastated and my mom and i were so devastated and i just remember sitting in my bed just like sobbing. >> report
