they still remained concerned with the immense capital needs of the port but they feel that the port commission in particular by setting the designated capital policy is taking affirmative actions to address that and they like what they are seeing. so we're very excited about our new rating. if all goes well we will be entering the market this thursday to sell the 2013 bonds with an anticipated closing date two weeks later on may the 29th. so so far, the mashet place is moving in the right direction for borrowers and we're very xietdd for that and we want to lock in and have the market place move up so we can earn money on our other investment holdings. wish us luck and i'm sure we will be reporting back on how the sale goes. you may have caught -- may recall the lease extension to the southern waterfront advisory committee. we apologize for not doing that earlier but we made the presentation on april 30. they were supportive of the lease option, they don't actually vote up or down, they give feedback and comments. they commented that rickology is a well-operated facility and it prov

commissioners. members of the public and ports that. welcome to our april 22 meeting. i have a long executive directors report today because apparently is is incredibly busy time but i hope to move through it really quickly. i want to start by talking about a cruise out with 4 2014 and 2015. we are really excited to report that 2014 will be a record-setting year for crew shipping at the port of san francisco. we are expecting 75 cruiseship calls carrying approximately 260,000 guests plus of course the cruise. so this is a new high record for the port in modern time and were very very excited about it. this has been continuing over the last couple of years and 2013 the port hosted 64 crucial calls at 213,000 cruiseship passengers and that was our highest number of guest since 2006. so we are seen incredible growth in our business here on the west coast for any number of reasons but were very excited about it. 2015 is looking even bigger with 84 calls booked. we are expecting to cross the 300,000 passenger mark for the 1st time in modern times. so we are really excited about that. it'

has the port spent time addressing or researching? >> we partnered a lot with bae over the years and you can see the growth in the slide representing that. when the navy moved away from the bay, ship repair took a nose dive as you can imagine, particularly at the big sites. the sf boat works and then competing smaller boat facilities in alameda. they have a constant because of the smaller vessel traffic in the bay, but the big ship industry has been impacted. we've bandage working a lot been working a lot with bae so they could compete for the bigger ships that are coming out of the cruise industry and the cargo industry. as you may recall as part of our america's cup project, we invested in shore side power at pier 70, which has also enabled bae to be a stronger contender for bidding and they've won quite a few contracts that way. their volume is going up. there's still plenty of capacity to run the ship repair yard more and create more jobs and that's where we focus the port's attention. >> is there a direct link between the ship re
