we're actually in port norris where that trooper williams was assigned.was only 31 years old when he was killed in the line of duty last night. the other driver also perp rushed in the crash. so far state police have not released a whole lot of details about that other driver but here in port norris the troopers are mourning a loss of their own. let's go video right now from cooper university hospital. this was procession overnight as the trooper's body was taken from the hospital. officers lined up to salute the fallen freezing rain. williams was from atlantic county, a member of the 156th state police class which graduated this past january. the crash in millville happened just before 7:00 p.m. but the road was closed for hours overnight for the investigation. at 6:59 p.m. police say a man in a toyota corolla traveling southbound on route 55 crossed the grass median entered the southbound lanes and struck the marked car head on as williams was responding to a call. the driver of the toyota was pronounced dead on the scene. trooper williams was air liste
