there is a hurricane warning that goes from just north of miami and it continues up through port st. lucie, jacksonville it's a hurricane watch at this point, but that likely would get upgraded to a warning if the hurricane remains as strong as it looks. what you're seeing in this circle is the wind speed, and of course at the center is the hurricane force winds. that looks like it could come right along that central coast there of the east coast of florida and then you're talking tropical force winds within that yellow area, that could reach even the west coast of florida. then i and then south carolina as we push forward here. this is a great way to break down the storms. so the storm as it comes into florida will likely be a category 3 or 4. so this is a look at some of the damage, a category one upwards of 75-mile per hour winds, category 2 is closer to 100-mile per hour winds. but this is what we're talking about for florida here, category 3 winds, over 100 miles per upwards of 130, maybe even 150-mile per hour wind gusts that will cause huge issues down in florida. thankfully we won'
