hello portola committed. thanks for having my name is carol and i managed the environment now program this is jennifer she's a former participants of this program. so we are here tonight because we have jobs. not just one job. we actually have five jobs. we just posted them today. i thought i would provide a brief overview of the environment now program to hopefully entice some folks in the audience or maybe a friend of yours to apply for this amazing opportunity. so, the environment now program is a green careers program that provides participants with the opportunity to break into the environment field. the team, once on the time we provide outreach and education to an the committees that apartment program. we hire from san francisco because we serve san francisco. we actively recruit from existing clean job-training programs such as asian neighborhood designs, goodwill, and san francisco conservation court to name a few. today, we've had over 100 participants come to the program. because most folks are com

indications of heading to downtown livermore in the next 15 minutes, check out the heavy rainfall from portola avenue right down to ford street. we could have isolated flooding because we're getting a lot of rainfall in a short amount of time. rainfall totals extremely impressive with this storm system. nearly most of the bay area under record setting rainfall from the deluge this morning that also did leave us with isolated flooding. los gatos, 1.55. palo alto, 1.35. san jose, 1.22. let's take you outside to the sky camera network. cloudy skies continuing across the bay, and temperatures, that's the other thing. so cold outside. not only the light jacket, but you probably needed a couple layers. what's on tap as we head through tomorrow morning? you can see we will start off with extremely chilly temperatures. not only 42 in the north bay, down to 46 for your average in the east bay. 47 in the peninsula, and 49 expected in the south bay. so that rainfall we had today, we haven't seen anything like that in 271 days for san jose. that was the last time we saw an inch or higher of rainfall. defi

portola valley was in there as well. danville, san ramon about 39. palo alto 39.those are the ones that stood out to me. then the breeze picked up and a lot of the 30s went to 40 or 50 degrees. the snow is zipping on by. that is the low as it dives south. probably not today. partly to mostly cloudy. it is lit up along las vegas and arizona. more snow to the northern part of the state. northwest novato. it will be a blustery day. boulder creek holding on to a 37. scott valley at 33 this morning. santa cruz now 51. san jose state made it to 46. it was 19 in truckee. now 23. and the first frost of the season up at crescent city. even up there. for the sierra, partly to mostly cloudy. it looks like the snow showers are done. topping over the top of the ridge as the low moves off to the east, we will start to see the kind of less in the breeze a bill. the higher clouds are on their way. sunny and breezy and sunny. 60 for the temps. i went with 70 at the sonoma county airport. everybody else it will be breezy. not bad in the sun. if you don't have a breeze and you turn

none in the santa cruz mountains yet. 41 at felton. 41 at portola valley. there's a bunch of 40s.ystem is moving south. visiting fresno, bakersfield, central sierra. rainfall, i tried to get some of the highlights here. you can do pages and pages, pleasanton downtown, two and a third, it's not hills 2, east san jose kill -- san jose country club, agent have. mountain view and livermore, both had about 1.38 to 1.40. gilroy, 1.25. san jose downtown, 1.13. which blew away san francisco and oakland at .53 and .46. although not far away, you can find more than that up in the hills. santa cruz mountains, our observer michael coyne, cold, damp, lots of stars. he's talking about dave and pam, i think. a storm total of 1.55. that's good stuff. boulder creek was in there as well. about 18 inches of snow, some of the totals coming in. we heard from some of the e- mails coming in, kirkwood on -- they had 18 inches at the summit. calming down now, looks like cloudy skies, mammoth has like snow in the last hour but looks like that's it for now. still, that was really good. 38 in napa, 40s, take

and into the peninsula we had almost an inch of rain at la honda while portola valley had about 0.4 and san carlos about 0.25. milpitas, half inch in gilroy. 0.3 after almost an inch of rain yesterday. and the east bay we're also picking up on more of that rain. san ramon a half an inch of rain. pleasanton 0.4 and livermore another 0.4. in san francisco you're still getting some of that rain in bay view, half an inch there. and also about 0.3 in the sierra it's coming down. we're still looking at the possibility of at least 14 inches of snow in truckey. that's a lot. and south lake tahoe eight inches of snow. by tonight these temperatures will be dropping and we may have some freeze warnings for parts of the interior north bay and the valleys. so watch out for that in the sierra. we do have winter storm warning in effect that will continue until tomorrow morning. and we will still have more of this rain and some snow for the sierra moving through at least for today. and then we dry things out. so when's the next chance of rain? as we go through the rest of the week no more rain until, y
