is that you are a former high school teacher, and you can talk about this as much, or as little as you are comfortable, but in 2008, at a high school in knoxville, you were present impacted your view on gun safety? >> that is why i brought red flag laws the past two years, it is always an issue i have cared about, safe storage. i will never forget that day, on august 21st, when i was sitting in my classroom. it was breakfast time, the bell hadn't run yet, my students had gathered in the cafeteria, had breakfast with all of the students, and i look up, i look outside the window and i see all of my students, and other students, hundreds of students running down the hill, screaming, and crying, running into my classroom, and i will just never forget the terror on their face, the tears i will never forget, it took them a few minutes to be able to articulate to me what was happening. and you never forget something like that, and to walk past those parents, and not recognize their fears and their concerns for their children-- it is just, i don't know how somebody can do that, and i don't know how you cannot recognize those people, the issues that they care about, or n

policy items that i'm presenting today is making transportation services accessible and reliable for youth. you know, youth overwhelmingly rely on muveno get to school. 60% of high schoolers take mount tow get to school every day. they depends on the lines to be on time, not over crowded and to have the lines running. so, currently, the sfmta has restored many of the lines after the pandemic. but several lines such as the 10 towns end the 47 van ness. 28r, 19th and others remain suspended. and some of the lines serve young people of for example. the 28r line served approximately 40% of youth riders opposed to 20% system wide. it is double. the critical lines are still suspend. another issue we see with transit services is that the bus when school gets out are packed the students can't get on there are so many flooding the system at once. sfmta has an initiatives the school trim are program started empty buses after school there are not enough of the school trip are buss to reach every school in the district. way they are distributed is kinds of has not been changed in many years. some receive 2 or 3 school trip and ares others none. >> lastly something we work o
