predominantly around jackson and presidio. we found the kids who were involved and worked with the school, and we were literally going through the kids back tax because they put them in their backpacks and take them up. little power screw drivers about that big, maybe 80 inches in length. they take it out, and the window comes out really easy with a power screw, and then they are pushing kids up against the window and doing all kinds of crazy things to get them to get involved. we were able to nip that, working with marina middle schools and working with mrt. it has been a real joy working with them. anything that involves someone getting really hurt, we are able to bring them in, along with the officers at the school. basically, we have been writing thet -- the t line. we have been noticing a lot of things going on there, working with the williams street police station. we have been able to bring closure to some of those issues. kids who get on usually free usually cause a lot of the problems, so we welcome the fare officers

on the southern border of the presidio, which is the only national park in the united states that's actuallya city. so it's unique to have a view of a forest while living inside a major city. the house was built in 1913. so it's ninety-nine years old. the house is four-stories. it's over 5,000 square feet. it has four formal bedrooms. then there's a room that we use at the gym. and there's a room we use as an office. then the in-door swimming pool. and the speak easy is the room that everybody loves. it's large, high ceilings. when we bought the house, there were no windows in the room. in 2005, we updated the speak easy. but we have left the bar and the band stand is the same size bar you would have in a restaurant. the original piano is still there. we've added the theatre to the room so you can watch films. it's a great room to entertain in. the story that came with the house is that when the police came to raid the speak easy, someone at the front door could push a button, and the lights on the bar would flicker, and people would know that it was time to run out the doors. and there are

with respect to the building itself, we should all thanks to people who fought the building and the presidio to preserve the historic character of the parade ground and resulting in a gift that did come to the museum of modern art, so that being part of the reason we are here now, and redevelopment, i have to disagree slightly. they did of the thousands of people from this area. its demolish thousands of units of low income and moderate income housing, and if it were not for people who did find redevelopment, we would not even have the projects that currently exist. i understand it has been 30 or 40 years since the original demolition, and it has evolved into this, but if that had taken place faster, people could be pointing their fingers and saying this is why jerry brown is right. you eliminated social services and everything else, and you build hotels in their place. comissioner moore: there is a much more interesting story if this had been built fast. there were many architects who early on fought hard for the cultural component, the residential component, and for the open space componen

we know that a lot of san franciscans to not want to drive downtown only to come back to the presidio. we're looking at this facilities because they are located to some of those transit lines where augmenting. in the last map that you're looking at here is how we handled party that is close in. one of the risks is people think it is easy to park -- no one think it is easy to park at fisherman's wharf but people might have the idea that there is a bunch of available and free parking at christie field and at the whart. they will be used for ada parking. people will want to get to the set-aside view sites. secured parking makes a big difference. we also might -- want to make sure that if there are tour buses they have a place to park off street. the residence and the merchants of the area are worried about tour buses on the curbs and on street areas. the america's cup authority needs to program some of these parking facilities not for parking but the activation for the entertainment uses, the mechanics are running the races. we see these as a reservoir for real estate that can help us be
