my 1st assignment of the press telegram, there were a couple. one was to cover music festival that i really enjoyed. and then a guitar festival. jimmy buffett and guy clark and emmylou harris and i volunteered, is it okay if i come? i was going to be my 1st story. this is a good way to start. funny how scary was. the press telegram was such a big deal. in 1976 and i started. it was a big thing and i was very nervous. i know a lot of the writers here. the right people to spruce things up. goodup. good reporter but not a particularly good writer, copy editors trying all the mistakes. lives in the 50s and 60s and they knew the city good questions. it was a real team effort. help each other out a lot. it was pretty intense. researching a story now is tremendously easy ironically because of the internet. thanks for helping. one know the name of a vice president of the company you have to call a company. the civil of a puerto rico person to back to tomorrow with the name. they could take you forever to do stories. we always are writing back and forth.
