[applause] >> you all get to come up. this is a really -- [laughter] i'm really excited today to honor everyone here and we know the commission is, as well. one of the things that we've struggled with for a long time at h.s.a., given we are such a large agency is how do we think about things like racial equity, and how do we handle such a big topic and really make sure that we are giving it due diligence and really thinking about the fact that racial equity issues follow people through life. they follow people through generations. there are things that are really hard to think about and we often say, we are not going to do this , or we are going to do it in little bits and bytes. i think that, i know that human services agency has a real commitment to thinking about equity and really making sure that we are an equitable place to work. one of the things that i can say that we have been fortunate to do at the department of aging and adult
