many think it provides supplemental foods. the nutrition education actually provides the cornerstone. it gives the young children a backbone by which to go further in life. we try to streamline education to meet families where they are. everything is virtual, but prior to covid, we were doing individual nutrition education, group nutrition education, online nutrition education platforms to meet parents where they are. to ensure they get the education they need without being a burden to them. and what we have done in creating food labels ms. burris spoke of, we call them wics, but they are wholesome, informed choices so we know people not receiving wic that these choices are wholesome and informed choices for all individuals living in the commonwealth of virginia. the dietitians who have looked at the food package and determines what need to be put on those are making sure it is healthy for all individuals. >> look at this, labels. i have only a few seconds left. can you -- >> the best part about the acsp and childhood nutritio

services at these centers are providing, again -- provided, again, by trained staff and the advancement team in a physical environment suitable to caring for individuals who have alzheimer's or other conditions. in addition, these programs provide respite for the individual's individual caregivers or families. adcrcs are contracted to provide four services. caregiver services, volunteer support, activities, and counseling. volunteers are enlisted to be part of the care teams and provide services, and then, the education provided to caregivers, families, and staff would include topics like recognizing different stages of dementia, dementia related behavioral management and effective communication methods, among others. again, during the pandemic, the adcrcs have pivoted to providing their services virtually or telephonically since in-person services were not feasible. they provided wellness checks and food support and appropriate activities for persons with alzheimer's or dementia, zoom when possible or activity packets that were delivered to the homes. so also, the adcrcs are slowly reo

are we attracting providers? and a diverse group of providers . are we making sure the underserved are in these groups? are we really benefiting everyone? or are we cherry picking? these are some of the things we are working on. there is strong support for more negative care, for figuring out how to make sure people are getting more primary care. a lot of focus on integration. i think we all know just how much the cost of care is skyrocketing in particular areas. for example, in bare hay bureau health -- in behavioral health, it is making up more than half of the cost and some of the programs. really focusing on an entity who is looking at the whole person and not just procedures. all of that is very much at the heart of what we are interested in doing. being very conscious of doing that in a way that actually leads to better health care outcomes. i don't want to say it's this shift, but i think one of the things we are really focused on is making sure we are actually improving health equity, actually improving the care that people are receiving,
