the group endorsed the healthy aging model that's provided by the community services which provides a model that could be applied to various groups. provide for admittance to shelters where the clients go through a comprehensive needs assessment process. obviously, the availability of increased long-term, ongoing rent subsidies for seniors and persons with disabilities. as i mentioned previously, increased training for shelter and center staff, provide orientation sessions for shelter clients about case management, how to report. look at why seniors are moving out of s.r.o.s and utilizing shelters over navigation centers. the h.s.h. adult coordinated entry personnel resources hub. obviously greater access to assisted living facilities, skilled nursing and hospice. and universal case managers that could act as a team and work across the departments would be helpful. develop programs such as alcoholics anonymous and narcotics anonymous and other programs to address some of the behavioral needs. and that provides exclusive transportation because that often times becomes another problem.

and vha providers and teams, but for community care providers as well. the first step of that is to take a look at ways we can create a preferred provider system and network where community care providers who are working with veterans are incentivized to engage in the same training that vha clinicians are engaged in, and in turn becoming a preferred provider within the network for veterans based upon their increased awareness and acumen with lethal means safety. rep. underwood: is this the only criteria to obtain preferred provider status? dr. miller: this is the only criteria i am aware of, i am in the discussions with regards to legal means safety. i do not know if there are discussions outside of lethal means safety training and applied preferred provider. rep. underwood: do you know if this goal and the requirements will be complete by september 30 ? dr. miller: they would be complete by the conclusion of fy22, next september. rep. underwood: if you could get back to the committee in my office about the current status of this goal setting process and

not the women whose rights are affected, not the providers who have been able to provide care, and notes. they say federal courts have no authority under existing law to provide any mechanism to redress the harm. if that is true and the state can take a simple mechanism of taking the enforcement authority giving it to the general public with a bounty of $10000 or $1 million, if they can do that, then no constitutional right is safe. no constitutional decision from this court is safe. that would be the intolerable state of affairs and cannot be the law. all constitutional guarantees cannot be that fragile. and the supremacy of federalma law cannot be that easily subject to manipulation. we would ask the court to hold the united states can proceed with this action and affirm that preliminary injunction and immediately vacate the stay that is injured in the case of that texas cannot continue to deny women and the borders a right protected by the president one day longer. >> thank you counsel that case is submitted.

these bills provide for our national defense, help educate our nation's children, provide medical care for our veterans, ensure that we have clean air and water, invest in science, and provide a social safety net for our nation's most vulnerable populations. now, we can and we should do our job and finish these bills in the coming weeks. and we should be ready to go. i mean, two weeks ago i made public nine senate appropriations bills. when you combine this with the three bills the senate appropriations committee marked up way back in august, all 12 bills have been released. the house has passed -- marked up all of their bills, and all but three of them have already passed the house. in order to finish our work, we need to have an agreed-upon top-line that has been worked out in a bipartisan and bicameral basis, something that's been done so many times in the past. we can't finalize bills until we know how much we're able to spend. and i've been calling for these negotiations for months, but we need all the parties to come to the table. it takes both republicans and democrats to strike

what are the limitations around medicaid and chip can provide to pediatric patients?hiquita: i would say that the coverage is comprehensive. in the medicaid program, we have eps which covers so many services in terms of anything that is diagnosed needs to be covered under the medicaid program. in chip, we have a well-baby, well-child. a number of critical services are covered. i think we have to continue to make sure people not just have the coverage, but have access to the providers they need and continue to have access. some of that is education, some of that is making sure people know what is available to them. that is sometimes where we see disparities in terms of whether it is access or not fully knowing what is available. that is something we are incredibly focused on. jonathan: you came into your position under a new administration during the period -- during the pandemic. it was may of this year. how has the pandemic eliminated the issues for children that exist in the health care system? chiquita: we are at such a critical moment in health care policy. over t

so working in cooperation with co-ops, can provide information and technical assistance, appreciation for the number of programs available. this allows me to talk about the importance of congress finishing its work on infrastructure and the reconciliation bill. because there are significant resources under any iteration of those proposals to fund expansion of climate smart practices in these areas and it will provide additional personnel to make those local contacts to spread the word. secondly the partnership initiative is a new initiative that will look for partners. we put out a request for information the next 30 days. we will get feedback from folks how to structure the program but we can anticipate activity on that in 2022. it is about making sure the affiliate ourselves with historic black colleges or hispanic serving institutions to bring them into the process by measuring and quantify the results of all this so we have a database to create this climate smart commodity. there is a tremendous opportunity for collaboration, cooperation, bringing this together. it is no secret we
