we ask it start at the provider level, but they have appeal rights that we respect and provide timely response to them along the way. i have this little chart that i built in there that summarizes the three levels. again, level one is at the provider level. level two, if a client is not satisfied with the result of their grievance at that provider, they are given the opportunity to appeal it to the department. at the department level it is handled by our clinical and quality improvement team. they are independent, they are part of das but different from office community partnership so they bring level of independence to the process and oversight. if that process does not satisfy the client, they have the ability to appeal to a third level, which is a panel of advisory council members who conduct a sort of formal but informal hearing on the matter and issue a decision. the additional document i got in here is that as part of this policy we ask our providers to develop their own policy and include the ability and require them to give notice to the clients they have this right. here we h
