and joining us to walk to the findings of that survey, a senior strategist with the firm psb who conducted the survey for c-span. with days to go before the nomination hearing process starts, what is it about americans attitudes towards brett kavanaugh? do they support the nominee? >> we took a look at 1000 likely voters and 39% of american judge voters say for kavanaugh's nomination, 35% opposed and one in four are undecided or have no opinion. >> do people have a sense who brett kavanaugh is? are the engaged on this nomination right now? >> they are following the news on it. there are 69% who say whothey ae following it a lot or some. this is comparable to what we saw in gorsuch's nomination. >> these nomination fights can follow along party lines, but does the american public view the supreme court as partisan? >> they do. they are actually viewing this fight for the nomination in a very partisan context. itselfiewing the court as a very political animal because all they know about the no camerashere are and the court is it is based out of washington. they assume that they behave like d
