when i learned in when i was checking on puc being over -- you know, the community college? i would check in on my own to see who that land was under. guess who it was? it is not under the water department. the reason it was done that way , i am what they said was supposed to pay no taxes. the real-estate, whoever we pay it to, property tax and everything, they told me i am not paying property tax on it and they do not keep records there, but the city department has all the records that i was involved in at the time. police, fire, sheriffs, dpm, rec, park, puc, library, medical examiner, and the police. might wonder why the library is on there. that is because in our emergency system, there are more antennas are around the city said that you can talk in buildings and that is something that is necessary with the library. as i mentioned last week, we had been approved through the process last year to refresh our 800 mhz system. the system is currently a dinosaur that has been in operation 13 years. the contract was placed 50 years ago. this is an analog system, this is proprietary technology. vendors are not supporting it anymore. you cannot get parts for it. it is time that you replace it. i would dare to say that there would be public safety issues and we would not want our police and firefighters at risk so i believe now go imperative that we replace that system. the new system will be a digital and system. the life of the system would be 2028. i know that this gets very confusing. why do we need two systems? the system is a digital data system at this point. you can shared text and

i started out with 1 barrel that mardina gave me, from the puc, they gave me a 55-gallon drum. i now have over a dozen drums, 250-gallon drums. i collect over 1,000 gallons of water that i harvest from the rain. this summer, i watered my whole garden with the water from the rain harvest. that is another thing that has happened. i have also watered ann's garden with that same water. another thing -- karen is not here. she is in that nice, gray house. she has been an advocate, working with the environmental things in this community. she was one of the people responsible for pg&e getting us some solar panels, the phillips solar panels. we have solar panels, mardina, ann has solar power. it has cut our energy costs down. the other thing we are trying to emphasize in our blood, in our community, to the young people, to respect the block and to keep it clean, and to learn how to recycle. we have green, blue, and black bins. we need to figure where everything goes because it is part of saving our environment. thank you for coming out.
