i'm with the puc. it looks like the computer turned off and there it is. got it. thanks, everybody. so john scarpula with puc and i'm joined by my colleague, sarah minnick, the manager and director of our green infrastructure program and she'll be talking, as well, today. so quickly, the puc properties within the city, where there's trees and lake merced area and it's managed via an mou by rec park but we work closely with them. the lumbar reservoir lands in district two and the oceanaci track making its way towards gullen park and sunset reservoir in d4 and twin digs reservoir and sutro reservoir. most know where the first four are located and for the next four, just want to orient everybody. laguna honda is along the l laga reservoir and that's 28 acres and that's one of the bigger areas. also, sutra reservoir, across from the claretin elementary. and on the hill there, very close to number four which is between peaks and i wanted to orient folks because not everyone knows where they are. so it's a much smaller number of trees, 131,000 from rec park and we have approximately 4,000

we must report our compliance to the california puc. our compliance report for the 2020-2022 timeframe is due to the puc on october 31. how do we go about our efforts to comply? we conducted conducted solicitations i would participated in solicitations that others held like utilities and other ccas. they put out multiple solicitations our self, since april, for resource adequacy products. we execute contracts with several suppliers as a result of those efforts. but still did not have enough supply under contract to meet our requirements for this time. we also participated in pg&e's 2019 multiyear solicitation that was issued in july 2019. pg&e holds at most, if not all come of the remaining market supply. they had most of the customers, so it made sense that they had most of the supply as customers moved over and enrolled in other programs like our cleanpowersf program. now we need to move those products over to. they submitted a bid on august 6, we were short lifted in that solicitation. this is a time sensitive transaction. the genera

a six inch line and eight inch line also broke in this area, although puc is telling us it's probably directly related to this break after this broke, it caused those lines also to be damaged and to open up. it sent a flood of water on to northbound lanes of highway 101 causing traffic to be routed to i-280 around withstanding water for a short period of time. we have the jackhammers fired up now doing a little more work. another water line opened up in chinatown, not a line break, that caused some damage to the roadway there stopping cable car service and causing a lot of damage to the street itself. we understand that repairs have been made there. i was there a short time ago and sounded like it sounds here. they had the jack hhammers out, heavy equipment in chinatown. they did repair that and we are being told that cable car service will not be affected later this morning. as far as what caused so many lines to open up, looked like it was just this one main line that broke, causing damage to two more lines in this area, and then the leak in chinatown, unrelated to this. the main po

that's going to be along with the puc. so lots of conversations happening, but cyndy is shepherding because ultimately in november we need our new climate action strategy to be adopted, and that's a city wide strategy that needs to have encompassed that feedback. and as i said earlier, we do that attempt that we find opportunities to take action as we go along, building code, let's lead by example in municipal. let's get to electric preferred and send signals that we are serious about going further. i would like to also say that we had a really wonderful hearing on urban forestry between -- two hearings in front of the board of supervisors. one on biodiversity and one on urban forestry. and what is so important about that is when we talk about our climate action strategy, 08100, this is a way to focus on roots explicitly and the board heard loud and clear if need for additional resources and the need for city agencies to work with them and the department was part of both -- central to those conversations. and finally, i wo
