earlier today i spoke with san jose mercury news sports columnist mark purdy. he's in new orleans to cover the game. mark, you've been there in the mix. can you tell us what the mood is like? you know, among the team and the fans? >> well, you know, the super bowl's a unique event. a lot of people here just come for the party. there's 70,000 seats in that stadium behind me, and they only sell about 13,000 to fans of each team. so some people are here just for the party. you have the ravens, people coming from baltimore. the 49ers fans coming from the bay area. and in new orleans you got that french quarter where, you know, bourbon street is kind of a theme park for alcohol. and, but there are a lot of great restaurants. and, you know, it's just kind of a mix of very happy people. their teams are here. and then there are just people here who are just excited because they're here at the super bowl. maybe their team isn't here, but they're just here having fun. so generally the mood is good. you know, i think any trouble happens after midnight when the real fans g

patrick purdy is a democrat from florida. congressman, your first state of the union. what's your impression, what is the issue that resonated with you? >> i'm very happy with the speech tonight. you know, i like working together, what we need is common sense solutions. we need to get away from the partisanship in our country. i'm glad the president talked about that quite a bit tonight. the overarching argument, the overarching theme that i like so much, they talk about solutions. he said here's a solution when it comes to things like education. we all know we need to improve education, so he talked about stem education, things like infrastructure, let's get public and private partnerships, the same thing with housing. he said let's look at a buildup on the floor that allows people to refinance their homes are historically low rates. overall, that's what i like about the speech. >> what is the no labels remapped. >> it is a group of problems solvers that are willing to put problems aside and focus. we talk about job creation, reducing the national debt. things like th
