going to be seeing temperatures already dropping into the 40s. 47 in chester. 48 in trenton. 43 in quakertown and allentown. these temperatures are dropping fast and the sun hasn't even gone down yet. just wait until that happens. dover was 71 earlier today. they're now 59. and the wind continues to be quite gusty. up to 40 miles an hour, wilmington. 36 miles an hour in northeast philly. what that does with the smoke from the fire it takes a tour down i-95 delaware river and potentially across the river into parts of new jersey. now, we have dry conditions across the east. and then things change. this is the storm getting into texas. got a lot of moisture with it. and here it comes. not for thursday night but friday morning. it comes in and it looks like it's going to start snow during the morning rush and-n at least part of the area. it has the potential to get little bursts of snow, reducing visibility and accumulating on some grassy surfaces especially. this model has it changing to rain this afternoon. we have other models that bring the snow in and then continue this snow north and west

only 37 in quakertown and doylestown. 38 in pottstown. some of these places could see snow in the next couple of hours. 45 in northeast philly. 47 in kennettt square. 40 in trenton. need the winter coats tonight. but not so far in delaware or south jersey. it is cold right by the ocean, but in delaware we've still got some places in the 60s. well, the difference, it's because of this. got a front. we've got southerly winds, northerly winds. a classic, classic wind shift here. north winds all in pennsylvania. south winds coming up. that helps cause the rain and the snow with 20-mile-an-hour wind in philadelphia and as that front comes down, the temperature drops sharply. so we have the rain moving through the area. the snow getting a little closer. but it's not as big an area of snow as it was hours ago. we still have some heavier rain in maryland about to move into delaware. we now have the snow down toward allentown. one place is central pennsylvania. not too far from penn state. they've had 8 inches of snow today. it's been quite a bit.

farther north and west the upper 30s for kintnersville and quakertown. there's a chance the rain drops will mix with a few snowflakes, but temperatures won't be getting close to the freezing mark for most of the area. this is the rain that is coming down in that region right now. bedminster seeing the steadier rainfall. that's part of a line that is moving through the northern and western suburbs just shy of the allentown area and reading. the showers are going to be settling down but the rainfall will continue to stream into the area. there's more of this system to stay with us through the morning and afternoon. by tonight we'll see clearing skies. that's 11:00 tonight. 43 degrees. and then overnight tonight it gets cold. and there's a chance we'll see some showers during the day on saturday. 7:00 tomorrow morning, dry, 33 degrees. then a chance of some scattered showers. might see a few snowflakes but temperatures will be above freezing so we are not expecting to see any accumulation. then the scattered rain showers are tomorrow afternoon. so kind of a
