r.j., welcome. good to see you again. did something go wrong here? why were people so surprised with the number? >> no, i don't think anything went wrong here. i think it was just a heavier investment quarter than usual for this company. if you look at the things that they're spending on, we'll get more clarity on the call this afternoon. it looks like they're investing in fulfillment centers, i'm guessing u.s. and international. there's technology expenses as well. i'm assuming that has to do with the echo portfolio products, some of the other investments they're building on and the aws investments as well. i'd be more concerned if we weren't seeing the top line accelerate. that's the real number to focus on here, particularly with things that are more sticky, too. the third party sales. vendors selling through the platform. that number is getting bigger. that shows that amazon is becoming a vital marketplace for the sellers. aws while decelerating, a big number. amazon's own products, they're doing well. the first party sales are doing well, too. >

is this the right time for him to go public let's bring in our leslie bicker along with r.j.rningstar. r.j., let me begin with you in terms of -- if you're coming at this from a restaurant point of view, is this a good time to bring a burger chain public? >> depends on your situation a lot of restaurant chains are seen as being insulated from amazon seen the franchise and the asset light models at multi-decade highs in terms of relative multiples. that said the smaller chains that don't have the scale, you know, that might not be the best time, you know, to do it because you're finding ways that amazon is disrupting the business, smaller chains and overall traffic is down in the restaurant space i'd be a little wary with an offering like this. >> yeah. we're showing some of those other competitors, sheikh omar abdel-rahman, buster & david's. >> is this a confidence listing? how is that going to work? >> it's a unique listing, regulation a-plus which essentially makes it easier for the smaller companies to go public it really only works for a company like this one that has a l

r.j., who do your listeners blame for the current health care failure?instream politicians, democrats and republicans. you know, we get the feeling that there are a bunch of republicans, the president is trying to blame the swamp. >> so what do they want done now. are they saying repeal and replace of obamacare is a necessity or more that they want the president to keep being a disruptor, what's their benchmark? >> a necessity on campaign promise by many so, yes, absolutely and in fact, to the person i hear people say that members of congress ought to be on obamacare and if they were forced to be on obamacare this would have been fixed weeks ago. >> we did hear from the president yesterday, he talked about possibly eliminating some of the subsidies for obamacare to members of congress and their staff, they have a huge exemption. some folks will tell you that the president can unilaterally end those suffice it to say that would be popular in harrisburg. >> very popular. one of the biggest to be honest with you. >> what are your listeners saying about goin
