rachael kagan is with the san francisco department of public health. she says that after three people died and dozens went to the hospital during the labor day weekend heatwave, the city stepped efforts to help residents stay cool. this time around more than 17 cooling centers are being made available to the public. sotcity libraries are open as usual but they are also cooling centers for people who want to come in out of the heat. there's water available. there are also 4 community centers that are acting as cooling centers wednesday and thursday. the city pools are open as usual and from 11am to 4 people if people are seeking cooling off they can swim for free. if you ware going to classes as usual you will still have to pay.the health department is also hoping that during this heat waves, residents will look out for each other. soteveryone should look after themselves, look after their neighbor, if you have an elderly friend or a pet or a neighbor who's sick. make sure the yare getting water and staying cool. if need be make sure there is a plan to
