rachel kim has the story. >> reporter: rescuers signal to air-lift a hiker who fell 100 feet from the a waterfall in eaton cannon. >> we heard that there was a second waterfall, a little higher up that you have to hike up to. and we went up and it was great. >> reporter: he tells us, he and his 25-year-old girlfriend were hiking, exploring the two waterfalls. after taking in the second one, trouble. >> we were coming down. and there's not exactly -- the trail isn't really distinct. it's kind of hard to figure out how to get down. and we went the wrong way. so we kind of just went with it. and she slipped and fell. >> reporter: reese said he scrambled down as quickly and safely as he could. he finally reached his girlfriend. >> when i got down, she seemed pretty conscious. and she was answering all of the questions i asked her. >> reporter: rescuers arrived, hoisted up the woman, wrapped securely. she had scratches and complained of back pain. >> we have rescues probably three or four a month at this location. >> reporter: fire officials tell us this is a typical scene for them. 60 hik
