three people died, barbara spears, lewis watson, rachel pully. our sympathies go out to their families, friends and their loved ones. 40 other people were injured, including four who suffered critical burns. our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families as they recover. as usual, when an emergency -- hits a community of this type, first responders, fire, police and e.m.s. and rescue were quickly to the scene to prevent further loss of life or injury. private citizens rirked their well-being to come to the aid of their friends and neighbors. i'm proud of the people of north carolina who responded yesterday and will respond in days to come to the needs of these individuals and their families. our small communities are enrichede which was the largest plant in the list of plants and i'm pleased to learn they have set up a relief fund for the victims and working to rebuild the plant. i ask my colleagues to join me in a moment of sympathy for these victims and their families. the speaker pro tempore: members will rise for a moment of sympat
