let's start with the victory of rafael warnock. can you tell us about the factors that made that possible? complexell, it is a situation, but it appears that rev. warnock, the projections are believed, to be the first african-american senator from georgia, really wasn't successful in his bid to get out the vote in a runoff election, which if you look at the runoff results we are looking at 4.5 million or 4.6 million votes, and we had right around 5 million votes in november. that's quite remarkable how they were able to get people out to the polls. if you look at areas such as savannah, he and jon ossoff hit the same numbers percentage-wise that joe biden did. the democrats were successful at getting their base out to vote and get those moderate folks that came out and crossed over and voted for joe biden, they came back out and voted for the reverend and for jon ossoff. host: as far as turnout for the republican base, what can you tell us as far as what was seen? guest: it looks like that they were similarly motivated, which is no

history in the bacon there as well when it comes to alex madia has taken on herformer position rafael warnock and john ossoff. just new faces that are changing potentially the way that the senate, the balance of power there. also just the dynamic of it, the diversity of it. completely. and i think it's hugely encouraging that the shape of the senate. also one of the challenges of the sort of checks and balances if you don't have a majority in the house and senate it's very hard to get those things done. went biden sets out the challenges ahead of him, they are immense. they are humbling. they are terrifying. and not having the capacity to get them through both houses. not having the levers to get through what you want to be done through both houses would've been a massive constraint. so the fact that they have control over the house and the senate gives him fair weather to try to begin to address some of these challenges. and i think that is incredibly encouraging from where he is standing from. there is a lot to do. i think he's played it really well for the tops of the executive orders send

local media are projecting that democrats rafael warnock and jon ossoff have won two runoff elections in the state of georgia. that means the democrats will control the senate and house of re79ives for the first time in years. in new york, share prices rallied on wednesday, lifting two of the major indices to record highs. bets that democratic win in georgia will lead to more fiscal stimulus and infrastructure spending. the dow jones industrial average ended at 30,829. that was up 437 points or 1.4% from the previous day's close. results from tuesday's runoff elections in georgia these democrats would have control of the u.s. senate. investors now believe the biden administration will have an easier time implementing new spending programs to give a boost to the pandemic hit economy. in the bond market, the yield on the ten-year treasury note rose to the 1% level for the first time in ten months. large scale fiscal stimulus will prompt the government to issue nor bonds, thereby increasing their supply and lowering their surprises. in japan, officials reported over 6,000 daily coronavir
