"eyewitness news" reporter, rahel solomon at police headquarters with more on this developing story. rahel? >> reporter: well, erika, this afternoon police tell me the victim was a 47 year old father, simply on his way to work, when he was stabbed. take a look, this is video from the scene earlier t appears to show the victim's headphones, police say, he was stabbed once in the left side of his chest and transport today hahnemann hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 7:10 this morning. police have not released the victim's name. they say they're still in the process of trying to notify his family. at this point no one is in custody. but police say they are canvassing the area, surveillance pictures will help them identify a suspect. >> i have detectives out there now, i'm not going to endorse, there is a lot of surveillance video in the area, i'm sure, pretty positive, we will capture the suspect on video and hopefully hager that's very quick way. >> reporter: and there is also some construction happening, just beside the incident. earlier today i spoke with some of the worke
