i'm melissa rainey reporting. >>> also, if you are just getting up, we are looking at a very gray starte day. very damp outside in parts of the bay area. looking good though right now into the valleys. that's where you have to go if you want the sunshine and the nice weather toward the afternoon as you approach the coastline, get inside the bay much cooler all around the bay area today and very damp especially at the coast. fog and drizzle breezy at the coast, a little drizzle inside the bay as well, mostly cloudy even in some of the valleys now. this afternoon, we're see sunshine, 70s, low 80s in the warmest spots inland, so well below the average from yesterday. 50s and 60s at the coast, drizzle continuing. cooler weather as well as we have the trough along the west coast now that's going to camp out for the next couple days. that will pump in the cool marine air and that means more drizzle, especially damp out at the beaches. it will be hot though in the central valley. 95 degrees in fresno today. 86 much more comfortable into sacramento. 90 yosemite, partly cloudy. 64 monterey bay.
