it is a major rainmaker. you see right as this begins to run onshore. these are some of our forecast models, but we are look at spots well up over a foot to two feet of rain in several locations and as this runs onshore it will bring a lot of moisture along with strong kids. flooding as it makes its way onshore. flooding could be an issue for a whole lot of spots. this is the system we are paying attention to. there are systems back behind it. i just want to point out that it is getting that time of year, we are getting close to peak hurricane season. florence will let us know that it's here. arthel: when and where are you expecting florns to hit land? adam: here is your track, category one will jump up to a 3 or 4. but that's a major hurricane. we are talking about perhaps the myrtle beach, outer banks area. this is several days away. it will be thursday night into friday morning. and through several models we are seeing this which begins to increase the confidence a little bit. arthel: leading up to that they should be expecting heavy winds and rainfa

aside from the storm surge and wind at the coast, then the storm will stall and become a huge rainmaker in inland portions of virginia, north carolina and south carolina. so a one-two punch coming from florence there and olivia, another tropical system is poised to move very close to or move right over hawaii. now sustained winds are down to 70 miles per hour, but that's still a strong storm and heading directly toward the islands of hawaii. it may make a direct landfall on one of those islands by tuesday night or wednesday morning as a tropical storm and, of course, like we saw with the last storm a lot of rainfall. we could see up to a foot to 2 feet of rain in not only the carolinas, but also hawaii. so a storm to our west, a storm to our east. we'll talk about our local forecast coming up. >>> governor brown said he will sign a bill to reduce pg&e's liability in wildfires. brown sat down for a one on one interview with a reporter from our sister station in sacramento. he says the bill that's now on his desk will slur that utilities pay their fair share -- insure that utilities pay t

it continues working west, but will still be a rainmaker. and these are the bands that we're seeing here in wilmington right now, bringing us the potential for additional heavy rainfall. okay so we get something called doppler indicated rainfall totals. we're not getting a lot of reports in yet. many times the weather service will wait until the storm is over to give the official numbers on it. obviously it's still raining. we looked at the doppler indicated totals that comes in sort of from the radar estimates. we're going for 20 inches-plus, across areas just east of wilmington, and into north carolina. and by the time it's all said and done, i suspect we'll see rainfall totals in excess of 30- plus inches of rain. now, as you'll remember, harvey picked up five feet of rain. so we're not getting into that territory, but for this area of the country, the way it's set out, the way the topography is, we're talking about very, very heavy rainfalls, and, again, continuing likely through yunday, jeff. >> glor: yeah, megan, and as you know, where
