i'm raj mathai. thank you for joining us. morning time in france. waking up to bitter reality. an intense manhunt. two of three suspects on the loose. hundred of police officers swarming the streets looking for the two brothers suspected in the brutal attack. here are their pictures. said and sharif -- cherif kouachi are armed and dangerous. >> the attack was shocking and well planned. masked gunmen heavily armed shouting in arabic. caught on camera running from the scene. this is video captured outside the offices of the satirical magazine "charlie hebdo." it shows the the two confronting and killing a police officer. the assault started in the offices during editorial meeting. the victims some of the biggest names in french journalism were gunned down execution-style. in all, 12 killed. another 11 people were hurt. the weekly magazine was targeted by terrorists for depicting the prophet muhammad in a negative way in a recent issue. 'the not the first time the magazine drew condemnation from muslims. the offices were fire bombed in 2011. thousand in paris flooded the streets.

i'm raj mathai. >> and i'm jessica aguirre. temperatures are expected to get as high as 80 degrees in some parts of northern california this weekend. and that is likely to tempt a lot of people to head to the beach. but the water comes with a warning. nbc bay area's michelle roberts is watching the waves as officials issued a high surf advisory. we begin with meteorologist jeff ranieri who is striking potential for record temperatures. >> you already started to see the warm-up. st. held 13 at 79 degrees. half moon bay at 74. atherton at 72. the dry offshore winds we had today is the primary reason why temperatures got so warm this afternoon. a second consecutive day tomorrow. the high area of pressure has more time to build and strengthen as even hotter air is expected to move across california. so here is how the temperature is set up at least for the first part of your weekend. we'll average about 73 in the south bay for saturday. 71 in san francisco, and possibly 78 for the north bay. those drying winds are going to send the

i'm raj mathai. >> and i'm jessica aguirre.earned that just the past hour san mateo county has a new case of the measles tonight, and just 15 minutes ago, we confirmed solano county's first case. this morning, two new cases reported in marin county. two children who contacted the virus at disneyland. there are now 92 cases in the state, 14 confirmed cases in the bay area. the map you're looking at shows the five bay area counties dealing with measles right now. nbc bay area's jodi hernandez is in san rafael and obviously the marin cases could be worrisome for a good chunk of people there because a lot of kids there are not vaccinated. >> reporter: that's right, jessica. marin county has the highest rate of unvaccinated school children in the entire bay area. and you can bet that is causing a lot of concern tonight as the county health department here confirms that two children here have contracted the virus. 15-month-old cyrus is getting his measles vaccination. news of two confirmed cases of measles in marin county where cyrus
