raleigh is looking at 47 degrees. warmer air just to the south and west of us, 50 in atlanta. we are watching an area of low pressure in that will develop over the next couple of days over the gulf of mexico. it will transfer its energy just off the coast of the carolinas and looks like it will remain for an up offshore that we have the potential for some warm air mixing in with the system, giving up a mix of rain and snow starting tuesday afternoon. we are not expecting anything significant to develop from the storm system. a few scattered snow showers and just rainshowers out there. an area of low pressure finally moves out of here, the same low that brought new york city and connecticut and pennsylvania the heavy snow. it is going to read intensify and finally moved out of here. that is good news for us, with plenty of sunshine for the day tomorrow. mostly cloudy for the overnight. 30 degrees for a nighttime low. tomorrow morning, waking up to a few scattered clouds, but it should be a nice sunrise. the wind will remain out of the northwest at the teen-20 miles an hour. tom
