i want to bring in randi kaye. she has been covering this story from the very beginning. she joins us now by phone. what can you tell us, randi? >> pamela, i was listening to that press conference as you were. i was listening to it out west. we are in utah making our way to wyoming and the grand tetons. we are basically replaying her steps, gabby petito's steps with her fiance as they made their way to wyoming, they wanted to go to yellowstone. we now know they didn't get there. she was last seen on august 24, spoke to a staff member there who confirmed that fbi and police officers had come to that hotel recently as part of this investigation. so as you know, they've been getting more and more information about this spread creek dispersed camping area as it's called in teton county. that's where the human remains were found consistent with the description of gabby petito. not 100% confirmed, but the description matched. they were searching that camping area, the united parks service was installed, police, they were all conducting ground searches at that camping area, and

randi kaye tonight has the latest on both and she joins us from north port, in florida.ased earlier this month. >> reporter: so, anderson, the family attorney is telling us that brian laundrie went to an at&t store here in north port, florida, on september 14th and bought a new phone. the attorney also says that brian laundrie left that phone behind when he disappeared. and it is now in the hands of the fbi. but the timing is curious. september 14th. that's the day the attorney says brian laundrie bought the phone. that's also the day that brian laundrie's parents say they saw him last. that he disappeared on that day, without his phone and his wallet. and september 14th is also five days before gabby petito's remains were found in wyoming. so while she was missing, he was apparently out buying a new phone. and if you look at some of the questions surrounding this, why would he buy a new phone and then disappear on that same day without it? and also, more importantly, where is his original phone? where is that old phone? did he leave it in wyoming? did he toss it? did he

our randi kaye joins us now with the latest on that. do you know about this visit the laundrie family apparently made to a campground after brian laundrie returned home from wyoming? >> reporter: yeah, this is really interesting information, john. we know that brian laundrie returned from wyoming in gabby petito's van by himself here to the laundrie home on september 1st but now we are getting some new information about this camping trip. cnn has confirmed with the laundrie family attorney that the family went camping to the ft. de soto park which is about an hour or so north of the laundrie home, where we are, on september 6th and 7th. that's what the family attorney says. he says they all went camping together, and that they all left the campground together. what we don't know is if they all came home here together. so that is still a question. but the pinellas county park's check-in report, which was obtained by cnn, says that there is a record of mrs. laundrie, brian's mother, registering for a waterfront site to go camping septembe

randi, given the surge in patients.ay, as these health-care workers are saying, does this hospital have what it needs? does it have enough ventilators? >> well, john, they have dipped into their hurricane supply of ventilators. those are the ventilators that they would have put aside for a major storm. so, they are using those. they are also using these refrigerated-mobile units as morgues, so they need those as well. and funeral homes also, john, in this area are feeling the impact. we spoke to the funeral -- funeral director at wilson funeral home here in tampa and he told me that not only has he buried friends of his but he is also running out of caskets. he's had to move the hearses out of the garage to make room for more caskets inside that funeral home. and he also told me he is having trouble scheduling funerals because the cemeteries are so busy, he can't even get a funeral scheduled on the books. so i will just tell you that being in that icu for anyone who thinks that, you know, the -- we shouldn't be wearing

our randi kaye is part of this team coverage.in just a few moments. randi kaye, i understand you're on the phone with us in wyoming. what can you tell us about what appears to be a significant development in the search for gabby petito? >> yeah, it certainly does, jim. we are actually in salt lake. we're actually right outside the fairfield inn where she was seen reportedly checking out in salt lake city on august 24th. so we're making our way towards teton and the grand teton. we know that a body was found in teton county. no gender yet, no identification, as you mentioned the 6:00 eastern time presser coming up with the fbi. so we will learn more. over the weekend here the fbi in denver was announcing that they were searching this camping area, the national park service was involved, the u.s. forest service, the teton county sheriff, the jackson, wyoming, police. they were all involved in conducting these ground searches at an area called the spread creek dispersed camping area. we don't know if that's where this body was found

cnn's randy kay is on the scene for us. what are you learning, randi?of calls took place between september 10 and september 27 that we've gotten ahold of. someone was calling the laundrie home here behind me in north port, florida on some very key dates around this petito case. the weekend of september 10 and 11, we know that gabby petito's family reported her missing on september 11. on september 10, the day before, two police calls related to the laundrie home. on september 11, three police calls, the day she was reported missing. september 13, there was one police call related to this address. and on the 17th, the day brian laundrie's parents reported him missing, there were four police calls related to this home. we also know that there were a couple of calls made on the weekend of september 10 and 11 that came from gabby petito's father, police are telling us, that he was trying to figure out how to report his daughter missing but he gave this address so that's why they were sort of clocked as being related to this address even though he was never
