breaking in montgomery county, police are on the scene of an offer involved shooting >>> it happened in randolphd in silver springs. lindsey watts is near the scene tonight. . >> reporter: a montgomery county police officer shot a man, we're on the edge of silver spring and wheaton, police got a call about an assault in progress. and what they were hearing is that the man behind the wheel of that white suv was ramming the car in front of him. there was a man also in that car. montgomery county police sent an officer over, it's officer was in an unmarked car. that officer ended up shooting the man who was in the white suv. you can see that the window, the driver's windows of that car is shattered. as police continue to investigate here. the man was conscious and breathing and he was taken to the hospital. now, what we still don't know is what transpired between the officer and the man who was shoot. police aren't saying at this point, they say they still have to interview both the officer and the man who was shot. now, in the hospital. as far as the man who was in that black car there, he was not
