the body was here at beach behind a ranger truck just 15 minutes ago that coroner arrived and pulled the body away the background of what happened today, around noon, the fisherman was on the surf just fishing. apparently he's fished here before and knows the conditions for reasons we don't understand, after a wave washed his cooler into the ocean, he went in after it, knocked down by the wave and knocked out badly, and dragged out to sea. he then drowned. from that point, a helicopter came to rescue and here are the ranger with the details. >> how far was it? >> it was about 600 yards south. >> 45 minutes. >> what kills a man to get swept out to sea? >> i know the water is extremely cold the shock of entering the water can be an issue. >> reporter: we did get a shot of the fishing pole and his lunch still inside of the box. no identification on the fisherman yet only that he was roughly 55 years old he did know the area. notification of the family we're still waiting for the information. that is the latest here from north beach. it's been sad all day. reporting live from warren coun
