raphael was determined to go to college. he had heard about the importance of attending class on the first day and without any other means of transportation, raphael walked more than ten miles to campus, in florida in august. talk about commitment and dedication despite all of the odds being stacked against him. raphael's story is illustrative of so many students who are willing to do whatever it takes for a better future for themselves and their families. our current system for financial aid does not fit the need of students like raphael who need our support the most. it was designed to serve traditional students. the typical student in osceola county is not traditional. the students with the greatest need are those who have already demonstrated their need through another means tested federal benefit program such as snap or ta tanif. why should we require our students to once again prove their family's financial need. we are working hard to increase the college going rate of recent high school graduates and deeply concerned

so raphael and yaki you guys met in drexel.lege. how did you take this idea and build a business? can you inspire some of our viewers? >> yes, sure. so i met raphael in college. i was a finance student. raphael was studying law and instantly both in business 101 class became good friends, and by sophomore year i was the one with a car out of the friends group. i was driving of one 7eleven, to cvs and realized like i'm done doing favors and there has to be better way to get convenience store products delivered. so that's when we thought of the idea when we told our parents, we told our friends they thought we were crazy. like, you know, just finish school, you guys if you want to start a business just graduate and just go the traditional route and we went against what everyone thought was right for us and we started the business junior year of college. raphael and myself were doing deliveries for six months. didn't hire a single employee until we were doing hundreds of deliveries a day. and little by little became profitable sta
