the city of cedar rapids said once again today, it will not release the dash camera video right now from an officer- involved shooting that happened exactly 2 weeks ago. cedar rapids police said it intends to release the video "when advised and approved by the linn contradicts a ruling from the state board that oversees open records in iowa. just after 1 a-m on november 1st, officer lucas jones stopped jerime mitchell for a traffic violation near coe college in cedar rapids. police say the 2 men got into some sort of an altercation, and that's when jones fired his gun, seriously wounding mitchell. mitchell is still in the hospital. the iowa public information board says open records shall be kept confidential unless it's ordered by a court, or if iowa's division of criminal investigations said again today they have no timetable for when they'll wrap up the case. while mitchell's family waits for the video, they reached out to an iowa city social justice group for help. the group is called showing up for racial justice. and they will be protesting at today's city council meeting. the newl
