joining us now is scott rasmussen of rasmussen reports.com. scott, wow. you look at iowa. my eyes. have you ever seen it jump that big? >> it's pretty spectacular. last time i saw a jump like this was a month ago when herman cain came from nowhere to lead and rick perry had fallen. the important thing through all of these, mitt romney, pretty stable. there is a different candidate up front and as we talked before, this whole campaign is now mitt romney versus i'm not mitt romney. gingrich leads the pack right now. >> heather: what about in terms of who could beat the president? this remained pretty steady. we talked about this earlier in our political panel. >> we did polling in the state of florida and you see mitt romney a few points ahead of the president in florida. obviously key swing state. we see similar trends nationally. newt gingrich trailed in florida by two points. herman cain trails by nine points. one of the interesting pieces of data in all of this is that when we asked supporters of newt gingrich or herman cain or rick perry, michelle bachman, nine out of t

rasmussen poll out today says 55% of americans want it repealed. only 37% don't.y, go through the process right now. supreme court will hear it. what is next? how do the judges fall? 5-4, what do you think? >> kimberly: that is what the smart money is on, 5. 4 keep in mind it could go 5-4 either way. especially when you look at the most recent jurisprudence on this, where you have two justices from two different appellate courts ruling, conservative justices and backing up obamacare. this one is anybody's to win. not certain which way it will go whatsoever. at issue is whether or not the individual mandate should be struck down, whether or not you're able to compel an individual, you know, an american citizen to actually purchase healthcare insurance. if they fail to do so, can you penalize them? >> eric: the pushback is what kimberly points out. congress in the constitution that should be applied where the government is telling you to buy a product. >> bob: if you read what the appellate court says, that's what they made their case on. on the commerce clause. if

pollster scott rasmussen joins us from rasmussen reports. good to see you. all right.th, that's pretty high. 40% strongly disapprove. is it? >> yeah. these numbers are of concern for the president. in fact, if they hold until next november, he'd be in trouble. when you look at the details, 70% of republicans strongly disapprove. that's not really a surprise or a concern for the white house. among democrats, only 44% strongly approve. so the enthusiasm is down. but the real problem for president obama comes among these unaffiliated voters, 16%. only one out of six strongly approve among the unaffiliated. 40% strongly disapprove. >> heather: you did something kind of interesting here. you also broke it down a couple different ways. one being gun owners, homes that own guns versus those that do not. >> yeah. this is part of an overall cultural divide that we're seeing in the country for one of the reasons the president's advisors are concerned about states like pennsylvania and it goes all the way back to those comments that candidate obama made about people in places lik

. >> and the republican presidential candidate cd is still leading the latest rasmussen poll. we get more from sherry ly. >> herman cain is expected to be back in d.c. today at a conservative grassroots summit. he still comes in as the gop presidential frontrunner in polls. a national rasmussen poll taken on wednesday just days after the accusation surfaced shows cain leading 26 been 23% over former massachusetts governor mitt romney. khan denies sexually harassing two women during his time at the national restaurant association but there are now reports of two more people accusing the presidential candidate of inappropriate behavior. cain's campaign had blameed a former aide, now working for governor rick perry for the leak. they have since backed away but still blame someone in perry's campaign. alawyer for one of cain's accuser is now asking the national restaurant association to lift a confidentiality agreement. >> she had nothing to do with this becoming public and is anxious for it to go away. >> reporter: several high row file republicans have urged cain to work to lift

first to eric rasmussen with more on the dramatic surveillance video of that shooting and the possible connection to local rap artists. >> reporter: police confirmed today that a group of people had just finished recording a video. they blew out the tires on this car, and they hit seven people. and all of it was caught on surveillance video. surveillance cameras captured the moments that gunshots sent people scrambles. look closely and you can see one man on the ground shooting back. a second camera around the corner recorded three of the shooters from behind. one of them continued shooting as he backed away. when the shooting stopped, seven people had been hit including 1-year-old harem lawrence. >> it's tragic for a little kid like that to be shot at such a young age and he didn't do anything. >> reporter: local wrapper kafani says the young victim is his cousin. oakland police confirm people in the crowd had just finished recording a music video, but even though a promotional van with kafani was there, he wasn't. >> i can't tell you what video was being shot. but i was not there. >>
