this was the scene rathe away. trying to get everything back to way it was. let's go to -- >> reporter: this scene is very different compared to 6 hours ago. it was covered with trash, now it's almost back to normal. this is the dirty part of a big celebration, garbage, and a lot of it. look at the plaza after the fans cleared out, trash all over the place. people left behind all kinds of trash. city workers don't mind it. they say it's not often they get to clean up after a world series champion celebration. >> this was a fun one to do. everybody was very happy n joying the festivitys, including many of the workers. >> reporter: there was an army of workers, sweeping trucks, cleaning the parade rowd and the plaza. officials say workers collected about 35,000 pounds of trash. the clean up took about 12 hours. also, equipment contractors spent 5 hours breaking down the stages and tents in front of city hall. for now the orange carpet is taped up but the pride and joy of celebrating a champion will last for a life time. 34,000 pounds of trash, that's lot of tra
