so the lockheed martins, the raytheons are clearly the place to go. they're beaten down.e were throwing them out with the bath water. that's a mistake. not all financial institutions are the same. if you look at jpmorgan in particular, that is a company that is just begging for a purchase. i think ceo jamie dimon is perhaps the only ceo out there who gets it. and full disclosure, i do own jpmorgan. liz: okay. here are the aerospace and defense stocks. authority run grumman, what i find entrust interesting here, you know, we didn't get to talk to keith kellogg with this, but there are five u.s. naval ships steaming into the middle eastern area. and when you look at the shipbuilders, among them you have everybody from lockheed martin, raytheon, general dynamics, northrop grumman and then hii which is one of the bigger ones. important to note all of these are in the naval world. i mean, you don't just immediately get a contract on the turn of a dime when something like this is happening. but are you more precise in your picking of some of these defense names? >> absolutely.

this was developed by raytheon by lockheed martin major american military contractors. and so there's been promises to send more to ease of what we have to remember. the us is also trying to supply ukraine's try to supply taiwan. and we are officially any weights in a piece time production situation, right? we are, we're not like in a world where to situation where the entire economy has been turned over to producing to fight a war. so there are supply chain issues, right? just the ukraine alone, the united states added to europe, allies that had trouble getting the weapons and the ammunition that ukraine has asked for and has been promised to actually get into the field. so whether they can be better or faster, they're just certain, some just certain physical constraints that the united states faces in now keeping of its renewed commitments to israel. whether it's a missiles, missile defense, and other kinds of major weapon systems that israel has asked for, or may ask for especially ammunition for airplanes, because this has primarily been an air war less thus far. we

are still bullish on ge given their service revenues, the issues that their biggest competitor, raytheons, is having. alix: we have general dynamics reporting. there backlog looks good, up 7%. you could also see defense in boeing looked allegedly good. revenue up by 3%. are these forecasts actually underestimating the defense spend, buildup of ammunition and weaponry that we will have to see in light of what is happening in ukraine and israel? sheila: we were talking about ai earlier, but i was thinking in that segment, what these industrial and defense companies are producing right now are very real. ge, for a long cycle company, crushed estimates. we have a hold rating on the stock but the performance in defense was stellar. revenue up 9% year over year. those are big numbers relative. ebit margins only up 4%, but they beat consensus more than we anticipated. you are seeing defense revenues come through pretty nicely especially on that restocking cycle, with ge exposed to combat, doing munitions and armored vehicles. we will see that throughout defense. positive revenue revisions upwar

good business to help the one democracy in the middle east and boeing isn't the only one we've got raytheon, lockheed martin and general dynamics and they're all apart of this. we really want to see what's the government is going to do and on top of that, we are struggling under a huge amount of debt, and we know that there is a massive deficit and if today chris whaler, who is a fed governor, said it's unsustainable. what would you agree to cut from the budget? >> the debt is unsus sustainable and -- unsustainable and led to impasse in the house and you see that the unit cannot recede from the world stage and the world needs us more than ever. i do need to point out that the house of representatives had passed a defense appropriations bill and a state and foreign operations appropriations bill, both of which have significant money for israel. they are sitting over in the senate ready to go. if the senate would pick up and pass our bills, they could be on their way down to the president for signature before the sun goes down today. liz: okay. well, i'm glass it's not just a mystery to us. i
