there's the first alert weather station at rdu. clouds with sunshine, 76. officially we are at 80 degrees. look at these temperatures to the north. upper 50's south hill right now. that's not a mistake. there's a front to the north of the triangle. 80 at rdu, 65 in oxford low 80's to the south. triangle will stay on the cool side through the evening hours anywhere. the warm air will stay over the triangle. the only shower or storm around right now is around the triangle at the airport. this is the one that prompted a cloud to ground lightning with heavy rainfall. there is a flooded visor he with a first alert predictor showing through the evening. that's about it for now, but later in the evening at 7:00 or 8:00 we will see an uptick. they won't hit everywhere, but the storms that dulin, if you get under one there is a threat for some severe weather. you see the threat of showers and storms near the virginia border, but by midnight it winds down and moves out. we should settle down as we get towards 11:00, 12:00, the atmosphere stabilizing between 7:00 p.m.
