we are six to five at rdu. -- we are 65 at rdu. look at wrightsville beach. that is not a mistake. a lot of times, you go to the triangle and it will be 65 or 70 at the beaches, especially on the outer banks. remember, the chilly ocean waters help you out in the summertime. the sea breeze can cool you down nicely. but it is reverse in the spring, too. a cool frosty start for sure today. some high clouds spilling in from the northwest. you see some thunderstorms come especially here west of dallas and fort worth and into oklahoma. there is some severe weather in kansas into texas. the severe risk is further south. and a greater and enhanced risk in the south half of texas. all of this stays away from us, at least until the weekend. because they will have day after day of rain in the mississippi 5, 6, 7, even eight inches of rain in southern missouri, parts of east texas and louisiana. that will set off some flooding issues for sure. but we are high and dry. we will stay that way. upper 30's north. a little cool tonight. there could be some patchy fog. all in all, a nice start to you

today all flights from rdu took off as scheduled. united delta and american airlines did cancel their flights to brussels for the next couple of days because of the incident but they are offering refunds. we tried to talk to officials about if they increased security and they did not want to comment on that but there was certainly no shortage of agents at the gates today. most of the passengers are not afraid to fly but it's something you think about when this happens. >> you can't be scared your whole life. if you stay at home scared then they are winning. >> we also stopped by the train station in raleigh. not a very busy travel day but they have deployed more security officers as a precaution. we also checked with greyhound and they have not added any security at this point but their guards are on extra alert. things are going to go pretty well. the airport is reminding people that with spring break coming up a lot of people are traveling and it's a busy time so give yourself at least 90 minutes before you fly. live at rdu jonatha
