my clients went to this realtor and talked to her and she since issued what amounts to be a retraction letter and has backed away from her original assessment of the property value. so all through this process, all of our changes have been made with specific purpose of eliminating issue to the neighbors. right now, the design that we have as is exceeds the design guidelines for meeting the requirements of air and light to the surrounding neighbors and if you talk to just about any realtor, they'll say that if you're enhancing the value of your property, you are just adding, enhancing the property value of the surrounding neighborhood. so we would respectfully request that you consider following the r.d.t.'s guidelines and leaving the plan as is in your packet. i want to also say that we did make a further accommodation after the d.r. request to pull in the third floor by an additional 10 feet and we did turn that space into a deck. it is not another level up, so it is within the third floor and we had talked to mr. teague about that and he said the one thing he really wanted to make su

our zoning administrator contacted the realtor, who said that the newspaper misrepresented what was conveyed. i wrote a letter to the newspaper asking them to print my letter to the editor pointing out that. indeed, the property is actually zoned for five units. not only is it sold for five units, it was turned down for a dwelling unit merger in 2005 by this commission. the newspapers did -- the newspaper said they are not the real estate police and that the properties and a listing. we checked it. the point is if you see something advertised in the paper even on the real-estate page, the likelihood is that it is owned in a way for multiple dwelling units and that you should check into that because we do not like the demolition of dwelling units in the city that has a housing shortage. i just want to caution people about this challenge so that it is out there, so we do not have people coming before us. it is really unfortunate that the newspaper was less cooperative on that point. commissioner miguel: thank you. commissioner antonini: many of you may have noticed in the "chronicle" yesterday

i am a realtor and a mediator on the community board. i worked in the neighborhood at the office of the of our company. my best friend lives there. i always walk his dog with him in the park. i want to speak in favor of this project. one day, actually do want to live in this neighborhood. homeownership is a dream of mine. i help represent clients entering the market. i notice there are not any homes in the area that have energy efficiency, that have modern amenities. i think there is scarcity in the market for that right now. it is also a very difficult item for neighbors to acknowledge that change is coming. i have mediated many a dispute with that happened. but the important thing to keep in mind here is that kevin is a good person. they are trying to make a living. they are trying to provide jobs for everyone else. they have gone through numerous procedural hoops and such. i feel that since they are local developers who are going to employ local contractors, some of whom are here, that the project is beneficial to people. in concept,
