rebecca: so my name's rebecca flores. i'm from fresno, california.and dad came to the us from mexico and el salvador, and i work here at acción latina as the cultural arts manager. damian: and talk about you're an artist as well, talk about your form of art. rebecca: yeah, so i consider myself a storyteller, and mainly because i write fiction and i also make these large scale sculptures. and the beautiful thing about sculptures is that when you make one and you put it into the real world, into space, it takes up so much of your eye that you have to contemplate it, you have to think about it, you have to wonder what kind of story is being told with it, and i love stories so much. so being able to weave words and writing with a giant sculpture helps me tell the story of how i became an artist, of how my parents influenced so much of my work. damian: you and i were talking off camera and you found out that i like chisme, and i found out that you like chisme, talk about if you will, about you know, being able to use that as an asset in your line of work.
