my name is rebecca foster, i'm the c.e.o. of the san francisco housing accelerator fund and we are a nonprofit housing fund that was formed by the mayor's office and community stakeholders like many of you who are in the room. our job is to innovate smart approaches to housing finance that put public, private and philanthropic money to work to fund affordable housing. we were created to support important and ambitious projects just like this one. we are a nonprofit developer like our awesome partners at tndc. we are working every day to protect affordable housing, but they don't always have the right funding when they need it. when tndc approached us with this project, we immediately understood its importance. a chance to save 86 units and protect 72 current residents in the heart of the tenderloin in an old, beautiful historic building. we knew that if these residents would be displaced, and many of them are long-term teachers, nurses assistance, technicians, restaurant workers, they would likely not find another home that t

foster city. james ok, thank you very much. rebecca.so want to bring you the latest again on that breaking news story this morning. we're following out of southern california where upwards of 34 people may have died in a boat fire off the coast of santa barbara. this is right near santa cruz island again just off the santa barbara coastline, the coast guard is they're they're assessing the situation they haven't confirmed any of these deaths yet, but we just we know that that many people at least were on board at the time we're going to continue to gather more details. we'll have an update for you here shortly so keep it to the kron 4 news for that. in the east bay oakland police are working to crack down on the legal side shows and they're using a helicopter to do it kron four's gayle ong took a ride with the oakland police inside their chopper. >>this eye in the sky is and serious, but they don't like it. and about a 1000 feet up in a 100 miles per hour officer sean mccord takes us on board argus. >>the oakland police department's air

foster city so far on the westbound side. i'll check the richmond center fell bridge and the golden gate coming up james all right rebecca, thank you. >>our top story this morning, the search continues for the man who rammed a gate at oakland international airport and then ran from the scene kron four's will tran live at the airport now to walk us through what happened kind of a bizarre story will. >>a bizarre story because this all actually started with officers trying to pull him over claiming that he ran a stop sign, but instead of cemplying, he kept going. i'm actually on the backside of oakland international. the terminals are to my left or right behind me that's the gate gate a this is a restricted area that for even for me to get here i have to show my identification we have to call and so this is a very restricted area. but instead he keeps going here and through you see those orange barricades. he rams through that side takes down the gate and keeps going to the tarmac here is video from yesterday afternoon. instead of pulling over even at this location, his pickup truck continues to go he gets out of the pickup truck
