the inspiration came from the recreation and parks signs that we see all through town. my first time, i saw the fleming and i said that this ha+ to be our new logo. everywhere you go, this is synonymous with the great parts of san francisco. we feel that fleming is an untapped resource for additional revenue. a lot of focus has been on the golf course. the 18-hole golf course has merits. g hopefully you will see the symmetry between the two brands. as we get into a national branding, i thought it was some point to talk about what the brand promises. this is bringing the magic of the pga tour to life. you notice that these brands are very similar. they were designed that way so people would instantly recognize +o pga-operated property.

i also really want to thank our recreation staff. they poured their hearts and souls -- we now do a quarterly family event, so every fall, we have scare grove right around halloween. we have our tree lighting in december, and in the spring, we have eggstravaganza, and in the summer, we have marina played on the green where we bring kids in the city for a day of rights and activities and conable fair, so that has become now a part of tradition to do these quarterly family events. i wanted to turn back to the prop c scores, and i want to thank the controller's office for their support. i really do want to extend our thanks to the staff for all their great work, and the last person down there i want to thank the deserves an incredible amount of credit is our director of operations. he has overseen the program since its inception, and this has really professionalized -- denny's involvement has professionalize our department and staff and made it more accountable and transparent, and it does not happen without a lot of work and great mana

all the recreational areas are heavily used on weekends. we have the group picnic area which should accommodate 200 people, tennis courts are full. it also has 3 playground areas. the ampitheater was built in 1972. it was the home of the first blues festival. given the fact that jerry garcia used to play in this park, he was from this neighborhood, everybody knows his reputation. we thought what a great thing it would be to have an ampitheater named after jerry garcia. that is a name that has panache. it brings people from all over the bay area to the ampitheater. the calls that come in, we'd like to do a concert at the jerry garcia ampitheater and we do everything we can to accommodate them and help them because it gets people into the park. people like a lot of color and that's what they call a park. other people don't. you have to try to reconcile all those different points of view. what should a park look like and what should it have? should it be manicured, should it be nice little cobblestones around all of the paths and like that. th
