beah lerted the park and rec department about this potential concern in october of last year. in response, the rec and park department has been claiming that the fish and wildlife service is in fact a partner agency in the approval of this process and suggested through both commissions, the rec and park commission and the planning commission, and now before this board with some of the materials that have been submitted by their department, that the fish and wildlife service has already looked at and approved mitigation measure 2b. on march 19th, a series of several environmental groups including the wildlife equity institute that i'm a part of had a meeting, a regional meeting with the fish and wildlife service regulatory department to talk about a lot of wetland disturbing activities across the bay area and they asked them about these proposals and asked why they thought they were useful for mitigating the acid reelisse issues we've raised. and the response was, we have not heard about these proposals. they heard about the mitigation proposals for 2a ~, but they had not heard

the rec and park department has ten years to implement this project. the only deadline is that whatever year they choose to implement it, they need to make sure the construction occurs between june and october. on this acquisition project, we've also completed environmental assessment and appraisal and rec and park staff is in discussion with the puc and the city attorney's office and mark farrells k - farrell's office and the details. there's a community group supporting this and advocating for this to become permanent open space and they have been doing fundraising work over the last couple of years. our newest acquisition project is the park sites in the lock development project. it's a large 20 acre site in visitation valley just east of bay shore boulevard and north of the san francisco san mateo line and this was a former redevelopment plan area, currently the mayor's office of economic and work force development is working with the project sponsor of the developer, universal incorporation for moving it forward for implementation. and there are two park sites in this development that we're currently considering for potential acquisition. and currently the planning and unit staff are working with the mayor's office staff to discuss potential terms for this acquisition and in particular
