our camera traveled south to saratoga where on highway 9 near redwood gulch there was a power line toppled. a few hours later they reopened the road. this storm also brought torrential rain, leaving behind flooding. once the rain stopped, water subsided near richland parkway. there were gusts up to 60 miles per hour. most of the bay area customers which lost power have had it restored. here's a breakdown for you. 460 customers in the north bay are without power still, and in east bay 540. the south bay, two hung 50. and on the peninsula, throw hundred. last but not least, only 10 san francisco customers are still without electricity this afternoon. crews will continue to work throughout the day. now, continuing our team coverage, you're south of assisty ca. what's going on there? >> here it's extremely windy. the waves have been really turning out there. if you take a look over my shoulder you can see all of the white caps and actually the weather has calmed down since the storm rolled through last night. rain and strong winds battered the pier all morning. >> sucks the heat right out of y

you're looking at pictures of highway 9 near redwood gulch where the ground gave way and the tree fell down and took out a power line. no one was hurt. again, crews have cleared highway 9. initially this morning we drove to woodside where crews are still working at this hour. woodside public works crews are still trying to clear the roadway near 3336 trip road. crews must clear the street to get to two others behind it. we got out to shoot video of this downed tree and what was initially a mild drizzle turned into a harder rain. the public works supervisor we spoke to says the trouble out here was reported around 2:30 this morning. he says the trees aren't effecting power lines and expects the road to be cleared by 8:00. there are some areas in the bay area effected by power outages. pg&e reports 7,00800 customers in castro valley are without power right now. there's also an outage in the northbound around novato effecting 3,000 customers. pg&e has not estimated when they think customer wills have power restored but we're monitoring how this storm is still effecting the bay area this m
