that's at redwood road.traffic completely blocked because water had pulled up onto the freeway. some of the drains in that area got clogged. and three lanes of that part of the freeway were submerged in water. around 345 this morning, at least two drivers drove into it and got stuck. the drivers were okay, but their cars were disabled and had to be towed. close to a dozen caltrans workers closed off the freeway and worked to clear those clogged drains, which they were able to do pretty quickly within about a half an hour. the chp says at one point, though, the water that had pulled up on those three lanes was nearly two feet deep. >> if you go through standing water and you might feel that hydroplaning, we recommend to not input any steering, you know, try to safely navigate that vehicle and regain control. try not to make any evasive maneuvers. you never know. there may be a vehicle in the lane adjacent to you. >> wrong button. i'm again. the drivers of those cars are expected to be okay. by 6:00, caltrans

the victim is an 18 year old from redwood city, but his identity has not been released. he was found around 140 this morning on a roadight behind the whole foods market on jefferson avenue. the teen was bleeding from a gunshot wound and died on scene. police say preliminary information suggests this was an isolated event and not a random act of violence. the president of panama is accusing the united states of spreading lies about the panama canal. over the past 26 years, the u.s. has paid a total of $25 million to move warships and subs through the canal. last night, the state department posted on social media that the u.s. government vessels can now pass through the canal for free. the canal authority denied those claims, saying that it has not made any adjustments to the tolls. panama's president saying that he's, quote, very surprised by the state department's claim and criticized it as a falsehood. a lot more news ahead. jessica aguirre joins us now with what's coming up next. six. another round of stormy weather. let's give you a live look at the storm ranger scanning for rain at the top of san bruno mountain.
