leon: richard reeve has the latest. richard: we are in the neighborhood where we believe the mother and the daughter lived. as you may have mentioned, the amber alert said that the little girl is extreme danger. that is why authorities are concerned to find the mother and the daughter. we have a picture of th 31-year-old flora khatun. police say she met with child protective services yesterday in annandale. c.p.s. obtained a court order to remove the little girl, her name is liz from the home. there was a civil court ordered issued that declared the mother unfit. we don't know what led to this. there were previous traffic charges where she had her child unbelted in a car seat. police say when she visited she did not have the child with her and she would not disclose the whereabouts. she left the office and c.p.s. called the police. now police have a criminal parental abduction warrant but so far no trace of the child or the mother. this is a six-week-old baby. they are fragile. there is a lot of concern there. rich: we

in falls church, richard reeve, abc7 news. jonathan: that gear has to get really warm. air conditioning is out at the d.c. jail. it has correction officials scrambling to move inmates. d.c. bureau chief joining us live at the jail with details on this one. sam? sam: the air conditioning is not out. it's just not very good in some part of the jail. they have air conditioning in there. they have 1,200 inmates. but over the last few days a number of inmates have been moved because of the heat. the city spokesperson says since last tuesday, nearly 180 inmates have been moved from hotter to cooler parts of the jail complex. for example to the correctional treatment facility. another 20 moved to virginia. the main with air conditioning and extreme heat. the spokesperson said they have been doing what she called a medical triage on inmates based on the health conditions and aim. inmates over 50 have all been moved to cooler areas. this comes after a 70-year-old inmate died last week of a stroke. now the jail has insisted that it was not heat-related. but an autopsy report is p
