we have rain around the region, it's mostly south now. some of it is going to effect the region. pretty good batch of rain to packs river. some thunderstorms as well. most of it looks like to the d.c. area, a few sprinkles leaving the ocean beach region and more showers through allegheny and western washington county and portions of garrett up to the north towards pennsylvania. around baltimore, just a few sprinkles showing up across some of the mountain areas east of fredericson, generally some possibility of some showers moving in this evening and hopefully we get some decent rain. 81 at dwi. 65 they're getting rain in oakland. cumberland down to 72 and showers. the dew point hasn't come up a lot. very comfortable. upper 70s and more like early september than mid-july right now. east winds have been bringing in some additional moisture off of the ocean keeping it cool. temperatures not extreme this week anymore around the region. a lot of clouds, sprinkles across virginia and during the day they move north. we have a lot of dry air, the radar shows precipitation, nobody is repo

a lot of us get on regional flights ourselves every week going back and forth to our home states. we assume a lot when we get on a plane, and i know all americans do. and we do need to make sure that there is a standard of safety for every american. i'm looking for two working with the chairman on language that would reveal all of the pilot records just as we have them for an airplane, and some things seem to me, since right now. i do have the pleasure of introducing mr. scott lauer this morning. mr. mao is the father of 30 year old -- a 30 year old who was in flight 3407, lauren bauer. he was born and raised in reading pennsylvania where he and his wife raised their daughter. he currently lives in south carolina or i appreciate him taking the time to come to washington. i think this is his third week here and i know this is very difficult for him to continue to recount this tragedy in public as well as in private. mr. maurer comes before this committee this morning as a representative of over 150 people in the families of the 3407 crew. they come together as a result of the terri

all of the watches and warnings being canceled as they make their way out of the region. heavy rainfall experienced. i want to show you where the heaviest rainfall was. let me go ahead and click on our rainfall totals and as you can see, the heaviest rainfall was in the region right around the bel aire area, just north of the beltway, right here, going down through the mount area area. that's where the heaviest radar was, as tracked by our radar. >> our temperatures -- -- as far as how much rain we got, some of the places in the region, not municipal at all, not much in hanover. >> the weather station, heavy storm a quarter of a mile from that. they got much heavier rainfall. as far as the forecast for ton. showers continue to make their way towards the north and east. during the day, sunshine, a few showers bubbling up, same kind of a situation on tuesday. you won't see sunshine, but heat gives rise to showers and thunderstorms activity. overnight, mostly cloudy with some breaks in the overcast, patchy fog and areas that did get rainfall. 6 degrees for the overnight low.
