rehema ellis is with me.is is what we've been waiting for, the official word on the university. >> i just got on my phone as well about that being the case and even if they didn't officially cancel classes, you can imagine students are not able to participate in academic work today. they've got to figure out what happened. pete said there is conflicting information as to how these injuries occurred because we're hearing a lot of different things. shots fired, some people say they heard shots fired, other people didn't. it's a large campus. it's understandable some would hear something, others not but there were other people saying they did see someone reporting a knife, the style of a machete was being used. so the good news is that it appears this is over. there has been, there are eight people transported to facilities. one in serious condition and the authorities are telling us that the suspect has been taken down. all good news as these people now try to figure out what precipitated this and exactly what
