. >> director reiskin. >> yes. gail has been the director on this and will give you a report. >> good afternoon i'll be belief i know you have a lot going on today. this is a contract for advertising on vehicles and other mta property. the current distract expires june thot this is year term with two, 5 years terms to renew. the high birtdz was tighten outside whors our current contractor it has a annual guarantee. the two main differences in about four or five years when the subway opens we'll be bringing an advertisement electroprogram to you. but those numbers are not before you today. the second is that currently, we have a program of 15 window wraps when i say that the entire body of the vehicle have an ad. we have over a thousand vehicles so the proposed contract would be a minimum of 15 and up to thirty and it will be fixed by the director of transportation. tighten outside has offered to put $325,000 a year extra into the magazine if we keep the minimum of 15 vehicles. and just finally this contract include

they'll have to have permission to use those zones and it will have rules that reiskin will go into but respecting the minnesota lines and a making sure that certain rules their abated but for the commuter shuttle so that they're not in the way of our muni lines and also causing any further congestion or shock to the emergency e 1906. we wanted to signal an agreement on a approach that has a set of rules and has signage to let people know they're there and also a set of rules that suggest their b be there in a times and places where they'll respect the other modes of transportation that we want to have in the city. we think that with this coordinated approach we'll receive better data for our sfmta to consider for future improvements and have a ground function to talk with the commuter shuttle services and we'll have some good data to share with our companies with the practices of the employees and where the best pickup times and how they'll add value to a more efficient and safe transportation system. this is the purpose of today's announcement. as to begin this coordination but to get

vice president and commissioners director reiskin i want to thank the budget analysis for the amazing report. i'm here to note a couple of points i'm sure you're aware of the mta particular just received a generous gift from google that will fund the exiting fro fro metropolitan for low income youth for muni for two years. besides the act it's generous and the largest gift that the city has received in it's history i think the fact that all the things that a company like google could have focused on is a testament to the success of this initiative. if anything i think it pertains to the need for us to have a much long term discussion about how we make this program preempt permanent and how we expand this program. so the influx of nope e money from google provides a benefit to have a discussion about what happens after the two years because this gift is only a two year gift to make sure this program is a permanent part of the mtas budget and also to how to include 18-year-old seniors high school seniors that turn 18 awhile still in high school. and then i think it presents an opportuni

my name is ed reiskin. i'm the director of transportation with the sfmta, and very glad to see you out here this morning. actually given the drought conditions we're upped, we're hoping for rain, also hoping

you like those roads (clapping) and under the leadership of edward reiskin and tom nolan we added buses with the goal of replacing the entire fleet in 5 years. and along with other friends we've launched bay area bike share demonstrating the strong support to expand the other city's transportation. when it comes to having the transportation that the resident deserve we have a ways to go. and so in 2013 we with the leadership of president chiu and that supervisor weiner we convened e vend all the transportation experts and advocates chaired by gay and our deputy city controller (clapping) their recommendations include investing in the muni and our streets with their rehabbed fleet and upgraded bike lanes. my friends it's not a small price tag $10. billion plus. in the waterfront and the other part of town we've been given a road map and fund our san francisco environment commission system in a responsible and 0 sustainable way we have to tackle our long-term transportation changes so in november working with the board of supervisors i'll support the transportation 2014 recommendation. br
